Key Responsibilities:
– Develop Safety Reports: Create comprehensive safety cases for nuclear facilities, ensuring they are engaging and easy to understand.
– Data Analysis and Innovation: Analyze safety data, operational procedures, and engineering challenges to propose innovative safety improvements.
– Stay Informed: Keep up with industry trends and ensure compliance with nuclear safety regulations.
– Collaborate Effectively: Work with a team of engineers and safety professionals, participating in discussions and workshops.
– Upskilling: Take advantage of opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.
Role Requirements:

Mandatory Criteria:
– A degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical, electrical, instrumentation & control, or nuclear).
– Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with great attention to detail.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– Interest in nuclear reactor power plants and their safety engineering aspects.
– Ability to interpret technical documents in detail.
– Commitment to the values of safety, integrity, innovation, and collaboration.
Additional Skills for job in AtkinsRéalis (preferred but not mandatory):
– Knowledge of risk assessment tools and methodologies such as RiskSpectrum™.
– Experience with hazard identification techniques like HAZOP or FMEA.
– Familiarity with radiological hazard analysis and probabilistic safety assessments.
– Understanding of human error probability and component reliability assessments.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
